I'm getting a long beeping that is consistant...sounds like an ambulance.

like deee duhh deee duhhh and so on.

I have two sticks of ram at 1 gig each, tried different slots and one at a time, still no go.

I have a Q6600 with a X1950XT and Corsair 2x1gb ram.

Any suggestions?

ps: PSU Stealthxstream 600W

take everything out of the case and reseat the CPU and heatsink/fan.

use 1 stick of memory and 1 video card, and hook up a monitor and ps/2 keyboard.

put the board on a cardboard box, hook up power to mobo including all AUX 12v connectors and PCIe connector for the vid card.

use a small screw driver or pen with metal tip and touch the two pins for the PWR SW on the mobo to start the PC, and go from there.

Also reset CMOS by removing the battery and engage the CMOS jumper for about 10 seconds.

the hi lo is a fan rpm, temp or voltage out of set parameters.
Is your HSF properly seated & do you have an rpm signalling fan connected to the CPUFan header?

Well from what I can tell it is seated (It's a Thermalright U-120 Extreme)

but then again it tends to slide around with force (POS) anyways.

Only thing I can think of is that I did not plug any fan directly into the CPUFan socket instead for my HSF I plugged it else where. Can't be that right?

I ended up pulling the speaker wire and everything is running peachy and looking at all my temps via bios or ramclock it seems to well within range at idle.

I may do the cardboard box and redo the heatsink and try to get it on tighter.

OK, so it's detecting no fan rpm on the CPUFan header & warning you ...
Just disable monitoring on that header in the BIOS & it'll shut up (unless you have another problem).

Per the previous post, go into BIOS and disable ALL fan and CPU monitor functions. You can also control a 2-pin/3-pin fan by switching fan support from 4-pin to 3-pin in the BIOS. You do not need to use a 3rd rpm wire to control fan speed with this board.

I had figured it might be something like that reading the manual and just guessing, but the manual is really crappy...

Very few board can control the fan speed without a 3rd rpm wire. This board works well with my 2-pin Panaflo fan.
