Seems i have exactly the same problem ,i turned it off to clean the fans ,and when i tried to turn on the PC again ,it powered up,fans spin etc etc ,but nothing on screen ,ive tried changing gfx card, ram, cpu all to no effect ,sounds like its a dead mobo then :(

my board was purchased in August last year ,would they still let me RMA it ? or am i just better buying a new board?

thanks

of course, it's still well within warranty.

how did you clean the fans, any chance that you had ESD?

Test it by taking the motherboard out of the case (connected to everything it needs to POST, power cables, etc.) and setting it on a book or some non-conductive material and turn it on to see if it POSTs. You might have the same issue I did.

no, in the US it's 3 years - the first 2 years parts & labour are free but in the 3rd year parts are free but they charge $25 labour iirc.

Abit did a wonderful job sending me a replacement quickly...
I have not tested it yet but I hope it will work!

Will post again once I test it.

Of course, I included my standard threatening letter with the RMA return.
(if no replacement received quickly, will report to BBB, Dept of Consumer
Affairs Federal Trade Commission and attorneys general of 2 states, lol)

Gonna resurrect this thread, as my IP35-E did the exact same thing last night. I usually leave the thing on 24/7, but for some reason last night I turned it off...this morning, nothing. Power on, double boot, no POST. Fans all running at top speed, monitor remains blank. Mikeny1, did your board remain working?

Going to pull the board today and see if it works out of the case and reseat it, as Saint Michael did. Hopefully...

How long will an RMA take?

I've been satisfied with the IP35-e once I got it working...had the problems with my Corsair PSU and this board, as did many others...but once I got it working, it's been OK.

I'll come back with a report

Same result when I pulled mobo out of case onto box. BUT...I remembered I had some HP DDR2-533 laying around so I pulled the Ballistix (which have given me zero problems to date) and put the HP in...presto. I had upped the memory voltage to 2.2v for the Ballistix...that shouldn't have been a problem, since that's what the default voltage for that memory should have been.

Have to say, though this motherboard has been stable (once I got it running with the Corsair PSU), I think I'll find another sooner rather than later. Not all that impressed with its quirks and tics.

At least I'm live now though.

Abit is out of the MB business and contrary to the public announcement that they will honor remaining warrantys, they are not responding to any inquiries. Basically, forget about any help from them.

Read several recent instances where people submitted RMA (for this board) and received them rather quickly. Unless things have changed drastically...

Ballistix is known to have a somewhat high failure rate though.
The upside is that Crucial RMA is excellent.

Wanted to follow up for folks who may be experiencing No POST issues w/their IP35-Es after powering the unit down for more than a couple of minutes.

Had the same issue last night after shutting down to do some cleaning. Standard troubleshooting yielded nothing. My unit is in the basement which is quite cold this time of year. I turned on my little ceramic heater and aimed it at the interior of the case (about a foot away) and walked away for about 20 minutes. Came back and VOILA - all is good.

Don't chuck those boards yet - you can find a little portable heater just about anywhere for next to nothing.

And I thought electronics LOVED the cold. *shrug*

Thanks!

I have the exact same problem as ohfreak - I moved my computer down into the basement (it's cold down here), and now my computer takes about 4 minutes to POST. I'm pretty sure it takes that long to warm up the interior of the case to the point that the board (IP35) comes back to its senses.
