I was shopping around for a good deal on some new hardware, when I ran across a special that MWAVE is running on ABITS's IP35-E mainboard. It does not appear that anyone else has posted about it, so I thought I would shoot up a flare. It is a pretty simple board, but for 69 bucks you get a P35 based board that is a decent overclocker.

E2140/E2160/E4300/E4400. 50% should be able to hit 3.2GHz. Worst case...2.8GHz. $70 to $90, depending on retailer. E4300 may be the best choice since it is no longer in production. Frys.com had them on clearance last month for +$70.

What I am doing is taking a E2160 and overclocking it, while it may not have the cache of the E4300 it will overclock 80% with stock cooling, and will beat a stock E6750 in benchmarks. Tom's hardware had a really good article on it about a week ago. You can purchase an E2160 through MWAVE for 80, and you get Patriot Extreme 4-4-4-12 EPP PC2-6400 through ClubIT for $101.99 ($60 AR) and for a little over $200 (AR) you have a pretty fast system.

$22/GB HP/Crucial 1.8V DDR2 667 is a better deal. RAM is capable of 400MHz @ 2.0Vdimm and 5-5-5-15-2T timing.

Get the IP35 for $30 more - it has RAID.

Yep, the IP35 is nice, especially with the v13 bios. My Q6600 is at 3.4 GHz, 378 x 9. Raid 0 running great. Crucial Ballistix (4 x 1 GB) PC2-6400 @ 908 MHz @ 2.1v @ 5-5-5-15 :)

Just wondering if anyone has checked to see if there rebate is being processed. I purchased a KN8-SLI with an Abit rebate back in July and keep checking the abit website but cannot fins any indication that they are processing it or even if they have received it.
I have mostly Abit motherboards but this was the first one I used a rebate to get. I now have purchased the IP35-E with a $40 rebate and still no indication they received anything. Am I the only one having this
problem?

my $40 IP35-E (from newegg) rebate is online now, by name/address search.
they don't have email notice, nor any tracking number online. but at least it is there.

My rebate form shows up at the Abit website. No problem.

Anybody get back MIR from abit? Mine even doesn't show up on their website! Is there anyway I can call to check the status?
