is anyone using this board with AC7 pro, any issues using that cooler

I couldn't get it to fit cuz of the northbridge or southbridge hsf. whatever that blue crap thing is.

that sucks, oh well, i dont want to spend additional money on a different HSF, i like the AC7 , I guess i will keep using my cheap stable asrock board

Did you check out the other rosewill cooler that looks like the AC7pro ?

that might fit. it looks like it has a slimmer body on it.

How is ABIT's rebate ? Do they give you any hassles in paying out ?

Im using an ac7, you just have to raise the fan a little bit to clear the heatsink. I know its not ideal, but it does work. You could probably set something up from the other side as well since theres more clearance on the opposite side of the heatsink.

so you can use an ac7 with this board. Im assuming the rosewill clones will work as well, with a little fanagling.

The rosewill seems to be a clone or re-branding of an Akasa AK-965

(Credit goes to AmberClad for the sleuthing )

It went on to the IP35-e with no finagling for me. 😀

<Edit> Just got a response from newegg, they credited me the $10 for the price drop. 😎

I grabbed one too.. Haven't done any real overclocking in a LONG time.. Figured it might be fun to play..

So, which is a better bet to get max performance out of (on air): E6300 or E2200?

on one of the gigabyte p35-ds3l i am @ 3.0 easy on a 2160 - was actually able to lower the V compared to what Auto would have set - perfectly stable and could go higher, just haven't had the time to mess w/ it more.

Have one of these, thought about getting another but "Limit one rebate per name, address, household or company."

Friends/Relatives/Ship it to your office?

About three hours ago -- ~1pm -- I checked NewEgg and this was in the "Today's Hardware Deals" List (the 4-page list when you click the Computer Tab) @ $99.99 - $13 savings. When I followed the click to order it, the -$13 wasn't on the item page -- it cost $99.99 -- so I used their Contact: Web Site link and informed them of the error. Subsequently, they pulled it from the THD list. Made me wish I'd tried their Live Chat link to engineer that $13 reduction in an order. Some days ya just can't win.

[I suppose there's a small chance it was pulled until a Responsible Party could correct the database and the -$13 would be properly realized.]

I'm tempted at $60, though it is currently $70 which I'm not going to go for especially with the hassle of a rebate.

What has this board been going for in the weeks previous, and at other etailers lately?

Have there been similar kinds of prices on some of the comparable ASUS and other boards competitively?

Did ABIT make some kind of cost reducing revision to this board so the newer / cheaper ones aren't of the same quality as the originals?
