For bios setting to force the ram to run 1:1, change the N/B strap to CPU and then choose DDR533, don't how that works but it makes the ram run 1:1 even tho the bios will show otherwise

I'm considering this board for a up coming HTPC build but I need to know if it has a S/PDIF header so I can get audio over HDMI. Abit doesn't have the manual available for download can anyone let me know if this board has the header?

Also being a HTCP noise is very important can anyone comment on the fan control options in the BIOS?

The BIOS fan controls are for the CPU only and they work pretty well. You can also turn that off in the BIOS and use Speedfan from within windows to do the same thing. Like many boards, fan control is only available on the CPU fan. I think there are a total of 4 fan headers.

I'll have to check on the SPDIF header. I know it has the external optical out but not sure about the internal header. I would guess that it does have it. I will send a PM later when I can take a look.

You might want to look at the AB9 then.
uGuru imo is the best fan monitoring/control setup provided by any mfr.

!!!UPDATE!!!
I recently did a clean install of XP pro on my sata 160gb hard drive and that seemed to cure my double boot problem. I'm not sure why. I didn't change anything else. I'm currently running the 1.2 bios, fsb@333, mem at 1:1 and 4-4-4-12 without tweaking anything and its completely stable.
