I'd wait for the promise controller, they have always out performed then high point solutions and give less problems.

I agree with Cobain. Stick with Promise. I already have a Promise
Ultra/100 controller card with a 15 gig IBM 75GXP plugged into it.
Asus P3BF-6, PIII600e CBo @800mhz, 128 megs Mushkin rev.2 133 @ 2-2-2,
Kenwood 72X, no bugs, no install probs, good SciSoft Sandra scores.
I was lucky and got mine directly from promise for 35 bucks and 5$
shipping. It was some kinda special which is now kaput I think.
Egghead is one place that has em for nearly the same $$.They also
stock the Fastrack/100.

I have an Abit Hot Rod 100 Pro installed in my system for the past week and it seems faster than the Promise Fasttrak66 I had problems with before.

It is very low cost costing the equivalent of USD 50 + tax here in the UK.

I have posted my results for it with 2 and 3 30GB 75GXP drives at:

http://www.storagereview.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/004671.html

It works great with 2 drives but I got no benefit from runing 3 drives as RAID 0
