Abit Geforce 4 4200 - S-Video Output Scrambled

Hi, I was wondering if someone could help me out here.

I recently bought the Abit Siluro Geforce 4 4200 64mb and tried out the TV-out from the card. It has the VIVO connector which has the Svideo and Composite connectors coming out from that VIVO connector. I can get the Composite cable to display properly on my TV, but when I try it out with the S-Video cable the picture is all scrambled and is in black & white.

Has anyone experienced a similar problem and may know how to fix it?

Thanks 🙂

*Added - I just found out that my TV-out isn't a VIVO connector - The manual calls it a "Mini-Din" to S-Video/Composite connector.

For some reason, I don't have the option to choose the Video Output Connection (Auto-Detect, S-Video, Composite). Here is a screenshot I took of the menu to give you an idea of what it looks like. The manual says and shows that the option should be there but I don't have it. Any ideas on what to do?

I have the same card and the exact same problem, except instead of the s-video being scrambled it doesn't show up at all. The funny thing is, I used to have a Gainward GF2 with the dual svideo/composite connector, and it would display both svideo and composite at the same time... the Abit -should- be able to do the same thing...

Are you using the drivers that came with the card on CD, or are you using the newest nvidia drivers? I'm using nvidia's drivers, so that could be part of the problem. I'll mess with it tonight and let you know what I find. 🙂
