Does anybody know if the Abit BX6 2.0 supports anything above the PIII 700? The site says supports PIII 500-700, then it has a note that says, supports future PIII processors. I'm trying to run my system as fast as possible and want to know what PIII processor it can handle. Any advice, please help. Thanks.

You just have to flash board to new bios.My 700e posted and ran benches at 1015MHZ in my frinds bx6-2 for a while. He runs a 650 at 840 I believe. It can be done depending on the board these are very picky about ram and are not really known to run stable over 133fsb in most cases but you never know till you try. Im sure you could get it stable at 933.

I'm running the default bios and I can run my c566 @952. It misreports the speed as 858 or some such, but works. The board will occasionally give me a checksum error and reset the bios, but that's no problem. maybe a new bios would fix that?

jr59984, what bios version are you using? Can you provide a link if possible to where you got it from? Is it the one on the ati-usa webpage? Let me know please, thanks!

I have a bx6 ver2 and am running celeron2 566@900 ( 9x100 ) . I know it does not answer your question but I think you'd be right in guessing that your board will run a pIII 700.

Get latest bios to be sure.
