ABIT BE6 (regular) bios multplier and slot-T adapter Q

I have the regular ABIT BE6 at home flashed with the most recent bios, currently running a cel 566 o/c ed to 850. I want to upgrade it with a celeron 1.2 or 1.4 ghz on a Slot T adapter from http://www.strattoncomputer.com But I don't know if it will work.

The bios supports a 12X Multiplier (MAX) but the notes for the most recent bios update http://abit-usa.com/products/mb/be6/ says it doesn't even support the 1.1 ghz celeron.

Should work just fine. Multiplier is locked, so it doesn't matter.

you mean it will work fine with the cel 1.4? the bios only shows the 12 X as the max multiplier. I don;t want to buy the chip and have it not work.

Yes. The multiplier is locked @ 14. Bios setting doesn't matter.
