Abit BE6-2 and IBM 75GXP, are they compatible?

I want to get this HD but I want to know if it will work on my motherboard using the HPT 366 controller. Does it work in UDMA 4 mode? What Abit BIOS and HPT drivers are you using? TIA.

The later be6 II uses a HPT 370.. I would go to www.highpoint.com and get the latest drivers for your controller. I see no reason your drive would not work

you know what. the darn 75gxp doesn't work on my udma 33 controller, nothing no detection from bios or forced detection, works PERFECT on my udma 66 port. WIERD! Just got the $89 15 gig 75gxp from buy.com today (oem). I don't really care since it boots etc, but its running on the 2ndary (udma 66 mode) and wont work on the primary (udma 33! only) port. Freaky.
im happy $89 for a fast as hell quiet drive!
