Abit BE-6 question

I have a BE-6 board (not a II..original BE-6!)I want to unload, have a SECC 600 on it, bios flash says it supports 850mhz, multipliers go over a gig. But a couple of people have said the board won't even boot with a flip chip/coppermine. Does any one know how high I can take this thing?
