Abit BD7 Review

they put that "fix" option in bios here, meaning your always at PCI/AGP/33/66 no matter what FSB
but THEY LEFT IT OFF their VIA and Nvidia AMD boards.
asus just came out with the P4s333 that has support for PCI 2700 (DDR333) and its only $132
i would think this would be the hotter one, but havent even seen it mentioned here.

Yeah, that ASUS board looks like the better deal IMO. DDR333 support at a better price... 😀 A Northwood would look nice on that board. It's a shame that Nvidia doesn't have a dual channel DDR board for the P4. It would be interesting to compare dual channel DDR to dual channel RDRAM.

AFAIK, all i845-D boards will only have 2 DIMMs.

That said, SiS 645 is a better choice. Not only because it outperforms i845-D and i850 (RDRAM), but because it has native PC2700 (DDR333) support, and costs less to boot.

I stand corrected 😀

I don't imagine 3 DIMMs would cause instability, provided they've optimized the traces. Most problems arise when they try to cram 4 in there. But I could be wrong there too! 🙂
