ABIT AX8 available for pre-order

It's good to see competition at least. It doesn't have SATA II and hence NCQ support, but that's not too big a deal.

Hopefully ATI comes to market soon as well.

that is pretty cheap.... unfortunately, i've kinda got my heart set on the NF4 Ultra (or SLI) and its cool features. Nonetheless, competition is good. Of course, I hold little faith in the AX8 coming in before the A8N-SLI, since the latter has like 10 sites taking preorders, with all ETAs within the next week and a half. As soon as ZZF takes orders for their $225 A8N-SLI, I'm there
 
When AT get there round-up, then I'll make my choice. Anyway, what ram does everyone recommend.
 
If you want to keep it at 200MHz and only overclock the processor then any RAM should do. If you want to overclock memory beyond DDR400 you'll have to wait for other people's experience, as each board likes a certain RAM better.
 
The OCZ Plat rev. 2 seems to be the clear winner in about everything. I bought the 1 gig dual channel kit of it
