Manual shows A64 and FX only but one of the bios updates shows this:

Update code base to 5/31 award code
Update MCT2
Support dualcore CPU
Fix "CMOS Checksum fail message" when select DRAM Timing value.
Delete "workstation" at POST
Full screen logo
Fixed "can not load SATA , LAN ROM issue"


I'm assuming if I update to this bios version I can upgrade my single core a64 to an x2?

with an appropriate BIOS the AV8 can run any S939 incl. Opterons (not officially supported but work just fine).
