My AN52V has plugs for 4 SATA drives. I am using plugs 1 and 2. I had a hard drive plugged into #3 but it keep geting write/read errors and eventually corrupted the data on it so I reformatted and stuck the drive on SATA#2 and it has worked fine ever since. I recently bought a new DVD burner that is SATA and when ever I plug it into plugs #3 or 4 it seems like it reads the disk very slowly , if at all. WTF? The drive came with an OEM version of Nero and it tries to install and takes forever then seems to fail. I tried a video disk and it seems too slow to read the disk.

I have another computer with an Asrock 939Dual VSTA motherboard and on boot up i get an ATAPI incompatibility error. I hit F1 to continue and when I am in Windows, the DVD seems to work fine. Whats up with my AN52V?

Any ideas?
