abit AirPace PCIe x1 802.11b/g Wireless Adapter $0.99 AR AR FS

Does anyone have this? I just ordered it ($.99 does not seem like a bad deal...as long as I get my rebates), but I am wondering if there is a reason they are dropping this down to $.99.

I have two of these and they've worked just fine for me (in Vista). These are great little cards, especially for the price. I can now use the PCI-E 1x slots that would otherwise go unused and free up a PCI slot for something else. I may have to go ahead and get another one with this deal.

As for rebates...
First card:
rebates (2) sent on 9/21/07
abit rebate received 11/3/07
clubit rebate received 12/11/07

Second card:
rebate sent on 11/5/07
abit rebate received on 1/12/08

Thanks OP! I bought one of these the last time they were on a great sale, and it's time to add to my collection. It works great on my computer, which is about 40 feet and 3 walls away from my SBC wireless router. It's really nice that it gives me a use for my PCI-e slot instead of using my much-needed PCI slots.

Is this the same deal from Thansgiving and Xmas? Have to be careful they're not same rebates or they'll deny the rebates.

Cool, I'm in... Thanks OP!

Although, I'm a little worried about Vista x64 compatability. Rumor has it the drivers are NOT WHQL certified..

But for $0.99 + FS? F*ck it, I'll take that chance!

JR..😎

Edit(s) FYI: Should you have problems using the supplied drivers to install this card under Vista 64, Madwifi.org shows that this card is based an the Atheros AR2425 (802.11 b/g) AR5007EG chipset. (Another thanks to the open-source community  ).

Which means you can download drivers directly from the Atheros site HERE, but be sure to select the AR5007EG drivers for you appropriate OS before downloading. Atheros reports these drivers are WHQL signed - YMMV.

Good Luck!
