Abit AI7

Am building my third system.... ABIT AI7, Crucial pc3200 512 (single dimm), ATI AllinWonder radeon 9800. 2 SATA drives (will set to RAID1).

Here's the problem: I cannot get this thing to boot. It doesn't even get to POST. I turn it on, it runs for a few seconds (not enough time to do anything) and then turns itself off.

I tried unplugging all devices except the Graphics card (and I re-set that to ensure it was in place) but nothing works.

Ideas???

What size of PSU do you have? I had the same problem one time and it did the exact same thing. I had a 300W PSU in there and had to upgrade.

Using an Antec 380W

If its a new Antec 380W that is fine. Probably not yer problem. I would suspect you got a dead motherboard. If it was your video card or RAM.....it would beep at you. Might need to go searching for some MB receipts

Well make sure that you're attaching the additional 12V power connector right next to the processor and if you're doing that, try taking the motherboard out of the case and booting on top of the ESD bag that the motherboard came with using just the memory and agp card installed. Likewise make sure your video card has the additional power connector attached.

Turns out was a bad MB.... swapped for another one and that worked.
