Saw it browing the web and though I would share.

No offense, but IMO that guy has lost any right to be read.

It doesn't make everything he posts wrong, but it means I don't think he deserves more hits on his site increasing his revenue to spread lies, and he's not credible.

I'd suggest looking for a credible source for posting the story.

Of course, that's my opinion, but can you really defend things like the 'pimp' video lies?

Now THIS one IS the pot calling the kettle black.

Not that this is worth it...but...

the video from ABC is right there to see, Craig. Dispute that.

http://landing.newsinc.com/shared/video.html?freewheel=69016&sitesection=ndnsubss&VID=23317459

This is the opening quote:

So, we took our cameras down to Arizona, where a controversial, new law would give police the authority to question and perhaps deport anyone who, in their eyes, appears to be in the U.S. illegally. So, I go undercover, pretending to be someone who is about to be arrested and deported, simply by the way I look.

A blatant lie and even a koolaid addled fool like you could see that.

It only gets more ridiculous from there.

Craig, ever hear the term "fundie?" It applies so well to you.

Ok finally watched the video. Do people actually know what this show is?

Its "What would you do?"

Look it up You Tube.

They always set up shit like this to see what people think, of course its a freaking setup.

In one episode they used actors to act like obnoxious American tourists in France to see if the French people really hated Americans and how they would respond. What was funny about what they found was that the only people who got up and said anything to the tourists were other Americans.

Well Americans can be embarrassing to other Americans. Take McGowen and Spidey for example.

breitbart lol

And here we have proof, between this koolaid drinker and his comrade Craig, that poisoning the wells works.

Instead of actually addressing the topic, they immediately feel compelled to dismiss it because the propaganda has told them the source is poison.

Had either one of them looked, they would have seen the ABC segment first hand. But know, they didn;t even look. How well trained they are.

What exactly is your issue with this?

Fail to see the false propaganda there. It's a show designed, as the opening said, to see what peoples' opinions were to a cop trying to do an over-the-top job "enforcing" AZ's immigration law.

Of course it's always done over-the-top to provoke a reaction, but in essence, it's just like the rude customer harassing the server bit they did, or the overly loud cell phone talker in a restaurant disturbing the other diners, among others. All done just to see what other people think and how they react.

It misrepresents the law from the start. Then goes on to spread fear based on that misrepresentation.

It's pure propaganda.

How exactly does this misrepresent the law?

What sort of fear is this spreading?

I'm just asking because it seems you might be missing the forest for the trees on this one.

If you don't know why, you're completely ignorant of the law.

Please educate us on this law, since you claim to know it so well.

And what is this fear you claim they are spreading?

The law gives NONE of the power the opening bit claims it does. The police do not have the right to question anyone about their status at will, nor is anyone getting deported "just because of the way they look."

I would say claiming the law gives that power spreads fear.

You completely misunderstand the point of the show through your own bias.

The point of the show is not the Arizona law. The point of the show is to see how people, who are stand around a cop being extremely over zealous about that kind of law.

The entire point of the show is to see how people reactive in uncomfortable situations.

This looks to be exactly what is always on the Breitbart website, FUD.

This is so obviously a biased hit piece intended to misrepresent the Arizona law only a tool like Craig could deny it. Puts you in dubious company.

The DESCRIPTION OF THE LAW at the beginning of the show completely misrepresents the actual law.

---They pretty much can and often do just that, whether it is "reasonable suspicion" a "hunch" or whatever they want to call it on the report, regardless of how you want to interpret the law, the cops can and are doing this; particularly Maricopa County Deputies.

"nor is anyone getting deported "just because of the way they look."

---I don't recall the ABC report claiming that; however people most certainly can and are being asked about their immigration status because of the way they look.

You claim to understand this law, however you have no clue how it is actually being enforced in Arizona.

I think moreover, you are tilting at windmills on this one...regardless of how you feel they've "misrepresented the law", the point of the show, as others have posted, is to examine peoples' reactions to a given situation.

P.S. You should not be allowed to refer to craig as a "Tool" until you can prove to us that you aren't calling the kettle black yourself..

Um, you're wrong. Utterly wrong, NO part of the Arizona law departs from Federal law, or goes beyond it.,

As for your attempt to continue the misrepresentation of the law as giving law enforcement the right to question anyone on their status... The law only allows police to ask about immigration status in the normal course of “lawful contact” with a person, such as a traffic stop or if they have committed a crime. The Arizona law mirrors federal law, which already requires aliens (non-citizens) to register and carry their documents with them. The Arizona law simply states that violating federal immigration law is now a state crime as well. The law avoids the legal pitfall of “pre-emption,” which means a state can’t adopt laws that conflict with federal laws. By making what is a federal violation also a state violation, the Arizona law avoids this problem.

Your entire participation in this thread has been a complete and utter failure.

No one in Arizona is being stopped for the way they look and being asked to prove citizenship based on appearance alone.
