He was obviously referring to Desperate Housewives, but nice try at owning him. :p

Sportscenter played...I can see people on the west coast getting upset over this since MNF comes on at 6PM there.

Apparently it was subtle enough to go over his head while still flying under radar. ;)

Blech, I've never had the itch to consider watching that show, plus the thread was about the MNF stunt.

It's actually pretty good, although of any of the cast members for the show to use for that stunt, Nicolette Sheridan is the one I'd least like to see nekkid. ;)

First of all, the lady in the intro was not naked. Second, she showed as much as a typical daytime soap opera, so what is the big deal? Some people need to get a life and stop wearing their feelings on their sleeves.

Don't get disheartened by some of the replies you will, no doubt, get from making that statement. There are some parents that have children they want to watch the game with, and not see nudity or sexual inuendos what-so-ever. VeggieFrog is 20yrs old now, so I don't have that problem anymore.

However OT, I will say... that although I think Will & Grace is one of the funniest shows I have ever seen, I think it is totally inappropriate for it to be shown at 6:00PM and again at 6:30PM dinnertime. There are just WAY to many blatant sexual references for that time of night.

:)

While i do agree with you, you can't tell me that it is any worse than many of the beer commercials that are shown during the game as well.

Yeah, I didn't see the intro, but it can't be any worse than the beer ads with mud-wrestling twins.

I think people are just hyper-sensitive to sex-related stuff around football since the Janet Jackson thing (which would obviously not include ads for some reason, so maybe I'm off-base).

Edit: Although in this case (and I hate to bring stuff like this up, but it seems to apply here), maybe it has something to do with a white woman and a black guy? I dunno, heh.

Those ads just got the smackdown (although not for being sexualized). ;)

I agree with all of you!
If it is gonna be called...family entertainment..., then all of it should go. I dont know what time Monday Night Football starts (Shock horror ;) ), but if it is past a certain time, the kids should be in bed.

But in all honesty... if I had another young kid in the house.... I would not want to have to explain what Viagra is, or how it is not really ok for girls to be wrestling in mud... but then again, I would never allow them to watch day time soaps.

And as far as what thy watch in Europe... I can only speak from my experience of living there for 8yrs. At the time... what they showed was a lot more... ermmm... a lot more open to stuff like that, but they had a much more strict watershed. Before 9:00PM things were pretty tame, after 9:00PM nudity and sexual references were (was gonna say "wide spread" here, but thought better of it) much more common and no big deal.

:)

I prefer the "disproportionately hot girlfriend" one. ;)
