Some post build thoughts incase in the future someone uses the search function for a similiar situation.
Specs:
E8500
MSI P35 NEO2-FR
4x2GB G.skill DDR2-1066
OCZ Vendetta 2
Rosewill Case
Evga 8800 GT 1GB DDR3
1) You need to drill holes in the Rosewill Case to fit the protruding OCZ heat tubes. Annoying enough where I will avoid this issue in the future, but not so much that I was going to order another case.
2) Buying the 8800GT over an equiv. Quadro worked out great. It's an unfair comparison but this card blows my Quadro FX 1600M (512 MB) laptop card out of the water. I'm not getting any artifacting and it can handle huge models without much hitching. Also the 1GB on the 8800GT is incredibly usefull for large assembly applications I give it A+ rating for something that's only 30 bucks more than a 8800 GT 512MB model.
3) On the oddball chance anyone using Abaqus visits this forum, the C2D works amazing with the solver dual processor function. This is a gut feel, I have yet to do a benchmarking case since our license is always in use and I can't grab it to do silly tests.
4) Check PSU's for loose wires before putting everything in box. The thing sounded like it was dying on me when I first booted, took it out and sure enough one little wire snuck out of it's casing and was hitting the fan.
