My first post wasn't a nef, I accidently hit the enter key when I was trying to hit the apostrophe!
This will be my new weekly post for this football season:
Studs:
Chris Weinke - 29 year old rookie looked like 29 year old 7 year NFL veteran. This guy ain't like no other rookies. Better decision making than half the NFL starting QB's.
Rich Gannon - Put together some key drives to give the Raiders the win
Ricky Watters - he's still got it
Packers Defensive Line - 7 sacks! great output from a mostly anonymous D-Line, won't be anon for long!
Brett Favre - looks like this may be his best season since 97.
Zach Thomas - a force to be reckoned with
Duds
Charlie Batch - I got to see Batch throw a ton of passes, and was consistently high and innacurate all day long. His poor receivers were getting open, but he couldn't deliver the pigskin to their hands.
Daunte Cullpepper - did almost nothing good, on one play, instead of a TD, he fumbled into the endzone, causing a touchback the other way.
Steve McNair - Looked incredibly inept passing the ball on Sunday night. Is this the same guy who threw for over 5000 yards in like one season in college? He never has been, and never will be a top tier qb, too innaccurate.
Ahman Green - OK this is a tough one, he really helped the Pack, and had some great runs, including a 83 yarder, but he had 3 FUMBLES! Luckily the 3 fumbles didn't really hurt the team, and Green recovered 2 of em himself, but still, ya can't fumble 3 times.
Bucs Offense - totally shut down by the Cowboys. This Bucs team will teeter around 9-10 wins, and won't be a 12 or 13 win juggernaut that people expect.
MVP for the week: Zach Thomas for shutting the door on the overrated Titans
Ultra DUD of the week: Daunte Culpepper
Ultra MVP for the week - ME for winning 2 out of 3 bets, one of which was a parlay (Packers -5.5 and UNDER 41.5 points in Packers game). The bet I didnt win was a tie (Raiders -3) so I did A-OK this week.
Double Ultra Dud for the week - Wisconsin Badgers QB Jim Sorgi, this guy is pathetic.
