Been away for a little over a day, and checking my computer it had only
produced 1 wu in 30 hours. :(

It seems like a program had been stealing allmost all the cpucycles.

this mashine normally does 2.5 - 3 wu's a day so 1 in 30 hours :(

Well rebooted the mashine and it's all better.

But more than one day of produktion was lost.

I have to check it more often. I have to. I have To.

What's worse is to have it finish a WU but the machine couldn't connect to the queue to upload it! :Q :(

And it sits there like that trying to connect for a couple days until you notice your production has gone down. :(

I had problems with SETISPY where it would complete a WU, then sit there and not do anything, even though it was set to keep the client active, etc.. It seems like if it got a bad connection to the SETI@HOME servers, it would then get confused and just sit there idle, and the only way to get it started again was to stop everything, and restart. ACK! I don't know how much CPU time was wasted. :(

I finally switched to using SETIDRIVER (got tired of the SETI@HOME keyserver problems) and they have been working away very consistently ever since. :D

Once I get the office moved and the new network stabilized, I'm going to try to get SETUQUE to work. (Had problems with the firewall, etc.) :D

hmm....

/me almost wishes there was some program that would send an email alert or something when CPU cycles get eaten up to a certain level.

hmm...

/me seems to recall a way to access CPU utilization info via the windows API in VB

hmm...

/me fires up my VB compiler.....
