Hey, I love itunes, don't wanna pay for the grossly overpriced ipod. Are there any alternative mp3 players out there that support AAC?

why does it have to AAC? is your collection aac?
If he is getting songs fron iTunes music store, Then yes, They are AAC.

then he has no choice to use those DRM AAC with an ipod.

he could always transcode those mp3s but then why would he explictly want AAC also?

iTMS songs are AAC, but so far 3rd party players that play AAC don't play iTMS' version of AAC AFAIK.
