I want them to finish up this season so they can make another movie to finish up the series. We already know there are aliens, the govt cover up, etc... Now they are looking for mulder.

I dont think theres too much more that they can add to the story. we are all waiting for the end of the story and they cant keep adding side stories to the plot forever (doesn't duchovny want to leave soon?).

They need to get to the end of the story this season, and finish the series off with a blockbuster movie this summer.

I just read an article in Time where Gillian Anderson is quoted as saying, "how many f*cking [mulder and scully] episodes can they write?"

seems like everybody on both sides gets tired of too much. also in the article it mentions that dogget is supposed to be a "skeptical foil" for scully. I just wanna know how scully got pregnant...

As I just added in Adul's thread, after watching tonight's ep, I'm more convinced they are going to find a way to make Mulder the baby's dad.

Gillian Anderson has already signed a contract for another season, and the guy playing Doggett says he'll sign on too if his character works out. From what I understood, Duchovny will appear in 11 of the 22 episodes this season, and will only be back full-time for 8 of those 11.

It would be nice to see some actual closure on the CSM thing - is he dead? I know Krycek and Covarrubias shoved him down the steps and he looked dead, but he has an annoying way of turning up again.

I liked Doggett - I think his character has enough play to either be a bad guy, or if the chemistry works with Scully, to be a long-term good guy.

Big Bwana - I agree that "to be continued" are the most dreaded words at the end of an ep. Especially since Carter seems to like drawing his ep arcs out for more than just two shows. I can tell it's going to be a frustrating first half of the season.

so what exactly is the deal with duchovny? i know he was getting tired of doing x-files, but how much longer is he going to be on the show? is he quitting after this season?
