The scenario:
I just adjusted my multiplyer to 12.0 from the stock 10.5. This OC'd my system to 1.6ghz from 1.4ghz. I fired up the comp and checked my CPU temp. It was running at 40 degrees (no worries there). I then ran 3dMark2001 and it made it through 1/2 the test and then quit and went back to my desktop screen. I rebooted and when it booted back up my screen went blue and said something like "Beginning physical memory dump". Panicked I shut it down and then I fired it up again and changed the multiplyer back to the original settings (10.5). I saved to CMOS and let it boot to windows. When my desktop came up I checked my via hardware monitor to make certain my CPU temps were ok (they were) but it posted a warning that my "2.5 voltage is too low"
Checking my voltages here's what they read:
Vcore=1.79
2.5V value=0.41
3.3V Value=3.46
5V Value=4.73
12V value=12.13
So my questions are:
1. What happened to my 2.5V Value? Why is it reading .041??
2. What does that 2.5V actually control anyway?
3. How do I fix it?????
4. Is my comp in peril now?
thanks,
