Aaaaarg. X850 XT just jumped back to 600$

Futureshop had an X850 XT AGP for sale for 350$ CAD with a 50$ mail-in rebate. This expired yesterday and now the card is at FULL PRICE = 600$ CAD. Ouch.

Paying 300-350$ would have been great for an X850 XT and now I have to pay 375$ for an X800 XT AIW just to get something *close*. Naturally this is no substitute but what options do I have now? Futureshop has the X800XL AIW for 350$ but the clock difference from XL-XT is 490/400 vs 500/500 and for 25$ it's worth it. It's not worth paying 75$ over an X850 XT but that option is no longer there. Damnit.

get the GTO for 200, unlock it and then get the same preformance for 200 bucks.

I only see PCi-E GTO cards. Most places here don't have any GTO's at all and those that do, are PCi-E. Thanks all the same.

In addition to him needing AGP, he's in Canada. It would be a more than $200 CAD for a GTO. I'd say just grab the X800XT AIW, then, unless you can find better prices elsewhere on the net. The performance difference between an X800XT and X850XT can easily be mitigated by a slight overclock.

Best Buy has All In Wonder X800XLs for $350. Theyre either $100 or $150 off.

Thanks. Futureshop also has the X800XL AIW for 350$ which are 100$ off. It's not a bad card considering I'm using an old Radeon 8500 but I'm torn between a 350$ X800XL AIW and the 375$ X800XT AIW. I'm also still feeling the pain in my ass from the price jump. :evil:

An AGP version of the X800GTO could be a good choice if you like to overclock Even with 12 pipes the GTO overclocks like mad and has very nice performance.

I found a couple of AGP GTO cards but they are 260$ CAD and they are clocked quite low. (400/350) vs (400/490 for the XL or 500/500 for the XT) plus it only has 12 pipes. I like to overclock for sure but I would prefer to overclock something that is already fast than to overclock something that isn't fast but can be fast only if I overclock. I'm a weirdo I know. =)

Memory also goes from 1000Mhz to around 1100min-1200max

Nice cheap and gives the same 3Dmark2005 score as a X850XT and 6800ultra after overclocking ./..

mine gets around 6100

get the aiw x800xt.. cause i said so, but you can't go wrong with an AIW anyway
