Is there any way to recover a closed window if you have closed and relaunched FF? I was trying to sort things so that all the wikipedia and other sites/subjects were grouped together so I clicked 'group tabs' in the drop-down list of open tabs. FF basically went into cardiac arrhythmia because of the number of tabs and essentially froze. I tried to stop or revert what it was doing and ended up closing the window. I've had the browser crash/lock up on me before so I figured I'd just close it down and then get the 'recover session' dialogue. Nope. I just get my other window, which wasn't nearly as important as the lost one. Am I screwed here? Also, these windows are several months old, so I'm not even certain how far back in the history I would have to go to pick out the individual tabs. Is there a utility or way to compare the list of open tabs with a particular time in the history? In future, is there a way to save each window to a separate sessionstore.js file? Thanks.

Ouch! This has happened to me many times but I have never gone more than a few days of tabs without saving the tabs on a temporary bookmarks folder. Most of my bookmarks are temp saves I never got around to checking. Recovery the conventional way for you is basically impossible as a few months of tabs is like searching for the needle in the haystack. Good luck on your bookmark recovery efforts and I will be checking to see if a solution to this problem is found.

Gah- I was afraid of something like this. Thanks for the reply anyway. I'll just have to create a list of my currently open tabs, then go through my history line by line and open up all the URLs not on the list to see if I want to keep them. :(
