You are seriously dense.

NO... I COULD NOT TELL THAT THE BATTERY WAS DEAD. I don't have X-Ray Vision to see into the 6 cells if one of them was bad.

Ever heard of loose battery cables, corrosion, issues with starter .. etc You can't jump to conclusions that the battery is dead. If you think like that in a real job and you won't climb the job ladder too quickly.

You think you're smart but you just prove to the world that you're posting nonsense.

Again, you tried jumping the car and didn't think to look for loose battery cables? The starter not turning over wasn't an indicator that the battery was dead?

You don't need x-ray vision. You need common sense.

Nonsense? No, you have that covered all by yourself. You're the fool that doesn't even know how to clean a stain on your driveway.

Now that is a bit disturbing.
And where exactly is your place? You a pitcher or a catcher?

And this whole thread while epic seems to be much ado about nothing.
All this abuse over stained concrete?
Got to hand it to ajajaj. Took a verbal gang banging like a pro. Kudos for hanging in there.

I am simply middle class.

When I am in front of say an Ambassador or a CEO I am not going to act like I am at their level and expect them to cater to me.

You moron, of course I looked for loose battery cables. You should infer that. I'm the one who installed the battery into this garaged car earlier that afternoon.

I'm talking about cables going to the alternator, starter. Wires you can't see. I was just just giving an example of the battery cable because I don't know about how starters, alternators are connected. Bad contacts on alternator, etc. Think more broad minded-ly.

The whole point that you think I'm this stupid speaks volumes about you and others on this thread.

YOUR MIND IS NARROW.
Do some reading. You're too focused on making your pointless point.

LOL.. I do know how to clean a stain.
I just don't think I should go pay for degreaser/kitty litter.

Where do you draw the line? If this was a huge spill that would have taken me half day to clean and $100 in cleaners? AND A DAY OFF WORK, then what would you say ? What if it was a huge spill, and it would take me hiring pros and cost $500 ? Then what ?

I have taken my stance. It's the right thing to do.

Stop the bitching. For crying out loud, you PANSY.

This thread is pretty pointless now.
Just bickering about fine points and missing the big picture of the Original Post.

LOL.. ONCE AGAIN.. You're the one who is proving who is a moron by nitpicking these dainty points like a 11 year old GIRL A god damned 11 year old girl in a dress.

MOVE ON.

Wow you really get a kick out of trolling, but thread was amusing so I'll give you a 6.5/10 on your trolling attempt, the .5 was bonus for registering a new account just to troll.

Some of you spend so much time here, posting useless bullshit and ridiculing others.. does it make you feel more complete ?

Just a random thought.

I can't imagine coming on here all the time posting negative stuff.
Look at my other posts in this forum, mostly helpful, like in the stock thread or whatever.

Seriously, it makes me wonder what kind of mentality and lifestyle choices some of you have.

Get the Admins of Anadtech to do an IP check or whatever and come back here with the results. Or if there is some kind of algorithm that scans user posts/threads that finds patterns, and prove it.

I have not posted to ATOT in at least 7 years. Maybe I did once when I was using the hot deals section between 2001-2003ish.

BUT..
Believe what you want.
It's funny who you randomly 'think', I'm a troll.
I made the mistake of asking here for advice, I admit that. I should have gone to bobvilla.com.. LMAO or some DIY website.

I have learned the error of my ways, k.

Or you could have simply posted that you have a stain in the driveway and was wondering the best way to remove it, in the automotive forums.

Is it really such a huge deal for people to be nice to each other? The people on these forums are some of the rudest, harshest, most judgmental people I've seen in a forum to date.

Let's assume he really doesn't know, either way is it justifiable to be such an enormous prick?

As far as his driveway, I don't blame him. Personally, I barely have enough time to fix a quick dinner at night, let alone worry about grinding/dissolving stains on my driveway. If I was paying a company ~$200 a year for any service and they screwed up my nice/expensive/new driveway in a way that would require a few hundred bucks or a few hours of MY time then THEY would be back to fix it.

But wait... in typical ATOT/P&N fashion (wait, when did the rudeness become so prevalent in the garage?) we have a few people disagree with the OP, followed up by the same 10 overly rude people making pointless nasty comments.

Then why wasn't this post moved by an admin.

They should probably move it there now, it's a waste of time as far as I'm concerned.

When I am in front of say an Ambassador or a CEO I am not going to act like I am at their level and expect them to cater to me.[/QUOTE]

I am sure this is a question of semantics.

I understand the notion of hierarchy as it pertains to specific contexts and situations. If you were in an embassy or a CEOs office one would be respectful. Ok. But those are social and cultural conventions. Being appropriate in situations, IMO, is far different than “knowing one’s place in life”. Perhaps this is why Megan 54 jumped on this as well.

Outside of the context of an embassy or their office etc why shouldn’t they cater to you? What do you mean by cater? Treat you equally and with respect? Work on your behalf? Do something for you? Why not? CEO and Ambassador are just titles. I know how society works to tell us what our place in life is and sets up barriers etc to keep us boxed in but still. Half the fun is not knowing one’s place in life and constantly trying to challenge inequality and the status quo.

“Knowing one’s place in life” sounds so defeatist.

Maybe, you should have clarified that in your OP, dumbass.

You tried jumping the car and couldn't tell that the battery was dead?

ATOT hates stupid people.

In defense of ajajajaj (or whatever his name is). My car wouldn't start and wouldn't jump. My battery was fine, but the belt on the alternator had broken off. I never would have figured that out myself.

You're correct, i do have orange hair and plastic skin.

Yay4u!

I laughed. I can understand where he is coming from. Although he did not need to mention how much his house cost, it was the fact that he pointed out it is his dream home and means something to him.

I don't have any oil spills in my driveway but since the concrete is white, couldn't bleach clean it up as well? I have never had to clean an oil stain up at home.

Same here. $500k is almost a starter home in my community now.

The area where I live, my house cost about 170k. When I was talking to a friend of mine whose parent is a real estate agent in BC he said the house I have would have cost 400k easy there. I love living in an area with a low cost of living.

The only place I know of where cost of housing in a major city is cheaper than where I live is Indianapolis.
