AA Problem?

Just wondering why when I turn on AA in NFSU it stutters and stop periodically, even at 1024x768? Every other game (except Halo ofcourse) runs flawlessly cranked with full aa/af, and I'm wondering if it's a NFSU problem or just my card can't handle it (better not be the latter).
 
What card do you have? How much VRAM does it have?

Have you tried a lower resolution and/or AA level?
