Just read an Anantech review on this new board by Asus(A8R-MVP). Now I am confused! Did they say they tested that board with a GeForce 7800GTX? I know it's supposed be be an ATI Crossfire board, but does it work with geforce too? Some body please read this review and tell me what i read, please.

Welcome to teh forums 🙂

One can run either nVidia or ATi cards on that motherboard, just like one can run ATi cards on an nVidia chipset motherboard.

However, you cannot run SLI on it, only Crossfire.

Hope that answers your question.

I thought in the review toms did of A8n32 and A8r-mvp they did all combinations... I remember something about two 7800GTs on the A8R... maybe they used hacked drivers, or something. Pretty sure, though, that they had 2x ATI and 2x Nvidia gfx cards on both boards at one point.

Hi n7. Are u pretty confident about this? I've re-read it and still not sure. I would buy this board (if I can find it) instead of the A8n32-sli deluxe (which I definitly cannot find). Not being able to use 2 7800GT's is a problem tho. Sigh!!........Life is hard sometimes.
