I just picked up this board from a friend and my setup consist of

A8N-SLI deluxe motherboard
3200+ winnie
2 sticks pc3200 crucial ballixtix
2x MSI 6800 NU
520w ocz powerstream
2x raptors

All parts were used in my MSI NEO Plat 2 expect the board all cards. Alright the problem is I installed all parts in the case, clear the cmos, make sure the sli little card is set to dual card mode and try to turn it on. It turns on the system just won't post.

Here are acouple of things that come to mind.
1. board got damaged in shipping.
2. the cards got damaged
3. Memory incompatable.

I tried to eliminate some things, I have tried numerous sticks of ram in dual channel and also just a single stick. I have tried the video cards one at a time and sure to change the sli thingy to a singe card.

If anything comes to mind please let me know.

More than likely the selector card isn't seated all the way. Remove and reinsert the card, making sure it is inserted evenly into the slot.

You also need to plug in a 4-pin molex power connector into the EZ connector. ;)

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried reinserting the sli selector with no luck.

And the EZ connector has been plugged in.:)

Connect a speaker to the sound out port and listen to the POST message. When trying your memory, insert one stick in B1. Still think it's the selector card though--as we've seen that particular problem here a few dozen times. If it's not fully inserted or not inserted perfectly straight, then no POST. ;)

I will try to align the selector card later, I'm hoping it just the card being not fully inserted and nothing else.

Sorry about the long delay I have been too busy with work to mess with the SLI board. today I made some time and tried with one stick of ram in B1 slot and a different processor also adjusting the selector card and no luck. I tried listening to the POST message but heard nothing.

I'm going to email asus tommorow and see if they have a fix.
