I've had my setup for over a year but I finally decided to try overclocking it this week. The highest I could get without changing the cpu voltage from default was FSB 220 mhz multiplier at 11. So I tried changing the voltage but if I set it to anything higher than 1.5625 my computer freezes right after the bios beeps. I can't even get into the bios so I have to take the battery out to reset it. Even having every setting at defaults and changing the voltage causes the freeze. I'm using bios 1016. Any ideas? The overclocking guide says 130nm should be fine with voltage between 1.6-1.65. Also, does only being able to overclock that much seem normal. At 225 mhz FSB I get errors in prime 95 but my temps are under 50.

Bump

I have the exact same problem with my A8N-SLI Deluxe and 3800+ 2.4g Newcastle.

What kind of PSU do you have???

Also for the prime errors at 225HTT...are you dropping your ram timings at the same time??? Drop them to a lower divider...

Thanks for replying. I have an ocz modstream 520w but I am running an sli setup with 2 pci cards two hard drives and about 10 case fans. I'm also using the multiplier to set the ram speed really low so I can see how how high the cpu will go first. I posted in the other forum but no one has helped that guy yet either.
