A8N-SLI Deluxe BIOS 1015-005

Which X-Fi soundcard do you have? From what I have read in the Creative forums it looks like the problem is with the non XRAM versions - the ExtremeMusic and Platinum. I have the X-Fi ExtremeMusic on order but I am deeply regreting the purchase after reading those forums. Once again I wish I had been a little more thorough in my investigations. However, I never thought that Creative would release a product that doesn't work with so many motherboards. They must do all their testing on Dells or something similar.

GuitarDaddy,

Good to know that the X-Fi ExtremeMusic is working in your system. I am currently running the 1015 BIOS so I think I will go ahead with the install and just keep my fingers crossed.

Tried the 1.015 final bios, but it still has issues with my pci promise pci ata 133 controller(The screen corrupts right before the windows boot screen). Bioses greater than 1.011 all have issues with the promise controller.

Using 1015 now and not getting BSOD's any longer with Platinum X-fi. I do, however, get the static and crackling that people speak of in the Creative thread I linked above.

The noise is not continuous though.

i recently installed bios 1015 from 1008, everything is fine, but my htt automatically gets set to 4x, regardless of what i put in bios, which i set to 5x. anyone know off this or how to fix it, i went back to 1008 but i am getting an opteron 146 next week and from what i understand i need to use an updated bios for the chip. anyone know of a fix?

edit: when i use ntune to check my system, it says HTT is at 5x, but aibooster still says 4x no matter what i put it at. anyone know what is going on?
