I got almost exactly the same with everything else stock

I don't have 3dmark03 installed so I only can post my 05 score.

3DMarks 3972
Athlon64 3000+ (Winchester) @ 2519 MHZ
Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe @ 280 MHz HTT
CMX512-4400C25 @ 229 Mhz 2 3 3 10 T1
Single 6600 GT @ 594 Core 1255 Memory

Vtach your setup should blow me away easy with that 6800GT.

I have all stock settings 2. Hmmmmmm got to figure this out... my fx 55 running@ 2.61 ghz.. bfg 6800 gt slot closeset to cpu and the sli card is set to single.... hmmmmmm

3dmark03 is a video card dependent test, and since you have the same video card it should be very close. There is nothing wrong with your setup. Use 3dmark2001 if you want a better whole system test.

I just tried 3dmark 03 for the first time, This will show where the 6600GT's come in I guess.
My score: 13860

This issue is a simple one to explain.

3dmark2001SE works primarily on CPU speed with graphics being tested 2nd to the CPU. If you want a combined score then this is the benchmark for you - Sli users be warned, you will be CPU limited in this test, do not expect to double your score on this test - the CPU can't keep up (unless you have FX-53/55 of course)

The scores you are posting for 3dm03 and 3dm05 reflect 'true' graphics performance on the given feature (bump mapping, AA, AF etc). Therefore unless you have a really old system the scores that you achieve with your 6800GT should be similar to other systems with a 6800GT.

The small differences can be related to memory timings, overclock settings and how much junk you have on your system.

Hope this helps.

Cheers

Duno I may rma my<a8nsli deluxe> board. I have fx 55 installed and the scores are not good.. 12128 is the best I can {get 3dmark03} with my my bfg 6800 gt pci-e vc. My 20-24 pin connector will be here sometime today so I will put that in and see what happens.

running dual 6800 gt's on asus a8n sli and i gig of geil pc 4200 and my rig overclocked to 2700 mhz from stock 3500+ at 2200 mhz I got 9,800 3dmark 2005 man I really wantd the 10,000 mark!

i only hit 2736 on mark 05. I know it's not terrible but it's sure not the best.

3500+64

1 gig corsair value

1 chaintech 6600gt

350w antec spu(came with case)

asus sli (supposed to be deluxe)

I ordered the 550watt Antec esp12v psu(12v rail at 34a), i'm thinking that might help.
