The Neo4 Ultra has never been "in" stock yet! They've moved the stock date five times now.

Real good deal on the A8N Sli though. 😉
 
ahh i see.

I passed out early today (work midnights) so i figured they just went oos as a lot of people were waiting for the Neo4 Ultra.
 
Considering this is one of the only, if not the only, places offering this board for the actual SRP of $200 or less, this is pretty red flamin' hot IMHO. 🙂

I hadn't seen that till now thanks baked! I'll be going with the Neo4 Platinum myself (don't need nor want SLI) so I hope this goes for the Ultra chipset as well!

Ordered this morning - packed and on its way.
 
I think I will pass on the SLI mobos. Too expensive and I can't afford to use the 2nd slot yet so I will be paying for something I wont use till maybe the summer or later. I also read somewhere that for the cards to work in SLI they need to be matched (type/brand/batch) and that sounds like it could be hit or miss.
Asus SLI Mobo - $200+
3200 win CPU - $250+
6800 GT - $400
2nd 6800GT - $??? ($300 maybe around summer)

Some companies are working on SLI cards running off only 1 pci express slot and they should perform better than 2 separate card's in SLI.
With that in mind, I will probably go with a winchester 3000 or 3200/That new MSI mobo/6800GT and save some dough. Any idea on how much that new MSI mobo will be?

MSI Mobo - $100+ (maybe $150)
CPU - $250+
6800 GT $400+
If I need more power I can sell the 1st card and pick up a single slot SLI card for the same or less than what I would have spent going the SLI mobo route.

They won't make a dual socket 939 because the chips can't talk to each other.

You'd have to go the Opteron route to get dual CPUs on Athlon 64.

Unless you mean dual-core, which will use just one socket.

Oh, and I believe that there are already Opteron boards with SLI.

packed does not mean on it's way yet, most likely it will only ship tomorrow, in which case your "free 2nd day" delivery will only be next week. Don't jump the gun thinking it's shipped when it's not. Have patience, lots and lots of patience......

You are right. Have been waiting since October. At least it shows as "packed" instread of "on order"🙁.

ya i noticed that myself...
i sent an email because yesterday it kicked up to 209 WHILE i was trying to process an order. so i got locked in at 209, and now i cant cancel my order today because it is already packed..
haha jokes on me ::tear::

but all you lucky non-me's 199 again 😛
 
Not much use if you cant find a video card to use with it.

I'm waiting for 6800gt pcie's to become available.. then I'll order all this
 
not really, as time passes this board will be more and more available. and $200 is the price its supposed to be going for..
as time passes it will get cheaper too.. but i wouldnt worry about ordering this board, that is appearing in more and more outlets.. for its MSRP.. :roll:


its just that its a kickass board, the best one possible for a new build IMO, and desirable.. but just cuz its now becoming available means that it will have shortages like the PCIE video cards.

it will be here to stay at $200 now that ZZF is on board. do not fret or worry.

now that chumbo pcie card deal.. THAT was to worry about because supply of those has been nonexistent since launch. i would order one of those in a heartbeat if they become available again.
