A8N overclocking?

on the a8n-sli, should i be worried about the sata 1 and 2 ports being overclocked when i overclock? does the pci lock lock those ports too? i have heard that 1 and 2 are not locked on the nvidia sata but 3 and 4 are. how would i check to see if they are locked?

I don't know of any ways to check if they're locked or not. But to be safe, go with 3 and 4 for your system drives and use 1-2 later.

A8N-SLI Deluxe

No problem with using SATA 1 while overclocking. AFAIK with BIOS 1003 on up all buses have working locks implemented.

I,m using sata 1 & 2 on the NF4 controller and running HTT 292 no problems
