i`m not using the video card , i just mentioned it because i tought since its a hibryd it might add more power consumtion to the chip and heat it up even more , there`s no discussion or anything about the igpu not working , so yeah basicaly when my cpu uses turbo mode and passes the 70+ i loose video signal i cant force shutdown , i can hear the fan working , i can only unplug it to shut it down
I`m using easytune6 from the motherboard amd overdrive and hwinfo are saying the same temperaturees , i used to have issues with reading temperatures on my old board , got a fm2+ board and it seems accurate i guess .
Your chip isn't meant to get that hot, so obviously some subsystem is failing thanks to the CPU bugging out. Turn off turbo or use amdmsrtweaker to fix the p-state voltages, and use offsets to fix the default vcore.
i`m using sapphire r9 290 tri-x OC , if i use the build in gpu from the chip it does the same thing with turbo mode . Gona try amdmsrtweaker see if it works thanks for the tip!
So after days of test and tweaking i managed to get it work but now my cpu throttles like hell , and hwinfo shows core power of 182W is this accurate or normal for this cpu , without the igpu in function ? thanks.
BTW : Talked to amd they said to rmah the cpu thats a bummer
It's hard to tell what package temp is in hwmonitor sometimes. On my Kaveri, it almost has to be VRM temp. Not sure what it's going to be on your motherboard/cpu. If you look below, the CPU temp reported by the BIOS is much lower.
Here is the best info I can provide you regarding package temperature on Richland CPUs:
