I have an A7V8X with a 2400+ CPU with 512MB DDR400. I'm using a GeForce 4 ti-4600, and an audigy sound card.
1. I am having a very difficult time getting my LAN to work for internet sharing and networking. I have tried setting up the LAN with the internet going in my GF's computer and supplying the net to me via a NIC and hub into my Gigabit LAN drop in the MB. I'ave also tried going in through the Gigabit LAN drop out a nic card, to the hub then to her computer. Either way the net only works on the upstream computer. Is there a problem with running the Gigabit LAN to an older 10/100 LAN? Besides the new MB, I'm using all the same equipment that was working a few days ago.
2. I installed the Audigy sound card and set up for 5.1 analog surround since I'm using a CreativeLabs Inspire 5.1 speaker system. It initially worked just fine, with all speakers providing audio output. I didn't change ANYTHING, did a reboot and now only the rear speakers and the sub are working. I've checked all the cables, removed and re-installed the audigy card and I keep getting the same results. It works once, then reverts to 2.1 sound.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
