I can't speak for the A7V8-MX but I can for the A7N266VM. The Nvidia chipset board is solid as a rock. Yeah, its getting kind of dated but it will never give you any problems. All the onboard features (sound ,network, video ) work flawlessly. I built six of them (the last a XP2400) , all windows 2000 without any problems. Unlike some of the Asus Via chipset boards this one is not picky about its DDR. I used the cheapest sticks I could find and then tested them with Simm and Windows memory tester to be sure they were compatible. If you go with the Via I would use Samsung memory.
Being sold on Nvidia, if you want a little more up to date all in one I'd look at the A7N8X-VM.
