I've just installed my new Asus A7V333 m/b with Athlon XP 1800+ and 256MB PC2700 Ram. I'm wondering what to be set on the CPU Speed in the BIOS. I've selected 1533 and the CPU/PCI Frequency is defaulted to 133/33. Is it the correct setting for my cpu? I do not want to overclock.
And another strange thing is that the m/b detected my ram as 128MB instead of 256MB. The ram is from SAMSUNG and I've checked the code on the chips as K4H280838D-TCB3, which is on one of the listed ram model on the asus website for A7V333. I'm not sure whether I need to do anything on the bios in order for it to report 256MB as I've left the settings on SDRAM Config as By SPD (default). I wondering whether the online shop that I bought the ram from actually shipped me a 128MB instead of 256MB eventhough the ram that I've has a 256MB DDR label on it.
Anyone has any ideas/suggestions?? Thanks.
