I want the KT133A chipset but not Raid. I'm told that since the A7V133 can be configured to run in ATA100 mode for all IDE controllers I thus can install a CDROM, internal zip, ot any other device to the controllers. Is this correct ???
Also, I understnad that Asus makes a KT133a MB w/o Raid ???
Please, Please advise !!!
Thanks,

yes, there is an A7V133 without the promise controller (2 channels, 4 devices max) and there is an option of setting the promise controller to non-RAID mode (4 channels, 8 devices max)

Can the non-raid devices be something other than HD's like CDROM or internal zip drive etc ???
