I'm a little confused. I bought an a7v133 and what I though was a tbird1.2. I had the place where I bought the two mount the cpu to the board and then I took it home. It booted fine but came up as am athlon 900. So I went into the BIOS and selected user and set it to 133 to get the 1.2. The retail box I got with it says it is a 1.2 tbird. I upgraded the bios to 1005a and still it wants to come up as a 900. How can I tell whether or not I got the real thing. The real problem is that the machine is acting as if it is O/C'd when I set it to 133 and is more stable at 900. I have another machine a A7V with a 1GHZ machine. These systems are essentially clones and the A7V is perfectly stable while the A7V133 hangs up most noteably in Counterstrike.
Checking temps with asusprobe it seems to run hot. 64 degrees at 133 while only 60 at 100. Just wondering if I got ripped off somehwere...Thanks, FP
The setup is:
a7v133 bios 1005a
4in1 4.32
128M PC133 ram
asus v7700 32m 5.6 drivers (tried the 12.41 drivers too)
smc1211 in slot3
usr 56k in slot4
sblive value in slot5
