A7V won't boot/post w/ DURON 700 @ 750?

It does this.
Sound: "Long high freq beep, long low freq beep. Looped."

Anyway, I have a coolmaster fan FOR NOW, but could it be doing this if the CPU is locked? It shouldnt be overheating because it's at 45 celcius @ 700mhz..
huh?!

I dunno.

I'm having a similar problem. I have a Duron 600 running fine at 750MHz but it wont boot at 800. I've also got the Cooler Master fan and HS FOR NOW. Mine's running at 55C @ 750, a little too hot for me.

If your CPU is locked then changing the dipswitches shouldn't have any affect what so ever.

Have you tried increasing the voltage? Mine is at 1.6V and it's pretty stable.

I have to run 1.65v for 750-800mHz, 1.75 for 850mHz, 1.8v for 900mHz, and 1.85v for 950-1000mHz. The temperature isn't much different from one speed to another. The benchmarks are pretty much the same from 750mHz to 1gHz, maybe 5-7% variance.

SO i have to change this stuff before I reboot? Would it make this noise if it was locked?

Check you ram.

When I overclocked my T-Bird it would not post when I hit a speed grade that was beyond what it would do but no beeps.

I had to change the voltage every 50mhz and over clockspeed. I'm at 950Mhz now that I have a Chrome Orb /w 5500 rpm fan. I could only get to 900Mhz with a Golden orb. So cooling is very critical when overclocking.

P.S. Don't forget about the Arctic Silver thermal paste.

I have a Alpha on the way, and i have no paste on it right now, it sticks at 46 celcius
