A7V voltage tweak

I don't get my duron 600 stable at 950. so I want to increase the core voltage to 2.11V or so (article by tomshardware). the only problem is can i pull out the extension board where I have to place the resistor ? i don't think i can reach it if it is still in the motherboard but with a little pulling it won't come lose. do i have to pull harder or is it not possible ?

Duron is stable up to 900mhz. 950 works almost but one time a day it will crash.
My goal is to get at least 1ghz. temperature is not a problem (under full load max temp. 39C, i don't know how much that is in Fahrenheit)
