A7v, rev 1.01(I think), Tb 750, Crucial pc133 cl 3 7.5 ns(They delayed my cl 2 >.< so I had to go with the cl 3, oh well..)

Just wondering how stable my system would be if I ran JUST the ram at Pc133.

Anyone know?
(sorry if this is in the wrong forum, I considered MB forum... but this isn't really a MB q)

Not sure what you are asking here...... I have a 64MB stick of PC100 CLS3 and a stick of 128MB PC133 CLS3.... I run both at 133 3-2-2 and its perfectly stable with a FSB of 105. So Im actually running my PC100 CLS3 at 140 3-2-2 and its perfectly stable.

Don't worry, nothing wrong with running the FSB and memory at asynchronous speeds. The problems only arise when you want to raise the FSB and you ram cannot take it.

^-^ Cool. I've been running at 100 mhz this whole time. Kinda thought it was a waste of ram. Hrm, how much of a Fsb bump do you guys think I can pull off with my ram?

try cas 2, if it's stable leave it... If not, go back to cas3.

You probably won't be able to get over 110 fsb (and you're already lucky if you get there). Athlons don't like changes in the fsb because of their DDR bus, I can't get mine over 105.

First, try CAS2 at 100Mhz FSB and 133Mhz for the ram. If everything is good, note down the benchmark numbers.

Afterthat, start raising the FSB, all the way to 110Mhz should be ok. If you can, go further until it locks up. Back off abit then and run some more benches. Compare your results.

Now change to CAS3 and raise the FSB again until you lock up, back off abit and rerun the benches. Choose the best result.

Note: This's just a suggestion for the sequence. Typing it off my head so it may not be the best combo.
