A7V motherboard question

What is the highest CPU that you put in your board? The website only says the A7V will goto 1 Ghz. But judging by the jumpers, I should be able to put in a Duron 1.2 easy?? BTW it is only rev 1.02 board. It doesn't have the extra DIP switch.

I put an XP1600+ on a Chaintech 7AJA2E(200FSB only mobo)...it booted as a 1150 Athlon in the BIOS..not sure if it was gonna run as a 1600+ tho ..so put the 950 Duron back in it..

I had an A7V I think. Isn't it slot A ? If so, you can only go up to about 1 ghz, as I think that was the fastest slot A

Edit : I had a K7V, sorry for the confusion, just got home and checked.

A7V should do anything that will do the 200 FSB I think. It won't support any 266, and will clock down any 266FSB chip installed....A7V133 (A version, maby) posted a 1700+ with a bios flash.

Yes, people have been putting 1700s and 2100 into A7V, A7V133, A7VKT133 and running them with "Remapped" Multipliers up to 24X.

link to Tbred article for Table of settings which lists the undocumented Remapped Muiltipliers. Link to Workarounds article for mods to access the high Multiplier range, comment on successes with A7Vs accessing the 13X-24X high range of Multiplier.

I just cut the rightmost L3 bridge and it allows me to change the jumpers > 12.5x. Thats it. My processor is running at 1.75v.

You must be talking about an A7V133.... the original A7V was just a KT133 board, 200FSB only.
the KT133 chipset didn't even like 105 FSB or more.. has to be an A7V133.

Its an A7V rev 1.02. Running at good ol 100mhz fsb. 🙂 Hence the need to change multipliers. Right now running mine at 19x 🙂
