A7V & Duron Processors

I have an older Asus A7V MB and just want to upgrade it a bit for my wife. does anybody have a Duron 1.3GHz processor running on thiers or can anybody verify that it will work?

The manual only lists to 1Ghz. But, I'm the 1.3GHz runs at 200MHz. I just don't know if the Morgan Core will work.

I doubt it very much.

I had that board. Just got rid of it 10 months ago. It would only take a 1.2 Ghz Athlon. I am sure you could put in a 1.2 Ghz Duron though.

My promise controller went out on my A7V other wise a great board.

Just do a simple BIOS flash and it'll work. Even though it does not show the multiplier, it will work.

I understood that it will work with any 100FSB chip (including tbird 1.4 @ 100fsb) .. you just have to have the current bios and let it autodetect the chip.
This of course is just what I understand, not fact.
