A7V: BIOS Update Hosed?

I have an Asus A7V motherboard (original) with multiplier dipswitches, purchased in October. It's the revision 1.01, if that makes any difference.

Anyway, I just updated to the Beta 1.008D BIOS by using the AsusUpdate utility, and after rebooting my system won't even POST!! I believe I was previously using the 1.007 BIOS. Now there is no display, no beep, and the keyboard lights don't even flash when I boot the system. As far as I can tell, there is no way to even enter the BIOS.

I'm thinking something must have gotten corrupted during the flashing process. Anyone else run into this before? Is there anything I can do about it besides replacing my motherboard?

"have you cleared the cmos?"

I've tried to, but as far as I can tell from the docunmentation and the board itself there isn't a jumper to do so.

Thanks for the tip, although the BIOS chip on my board doesn't appear to be removable. That's a great site to know about, though.
