Do I have to uninstall the current drivers beofre doing this?
Did it glitch any hardware/Stability?
I ask because this stuff doesnt seem official... or?

I don't know about "Asus Update". Just take the good ol' AFLASH.EXE ,put it on a bootable floppy (or on your harddisk) and flash this file. It works 100% with me.

No, you don't have to install any drivers before using the promise beta drivers. Just delete this "PCI mass storage controller" and on the next boot point the windows installer to the directory where you unpacked the drivers.

These drivers are not official. I cant say for sure where they come from, but it seems that ASUS support sent them to someone who complained about the beoot delay. This person then posted them on USENET in the newsgroup alt.comp.periphs.mainboard.asus

as not everyone can access usenet, and some newsserver dont show binary files, i decited to post them on webspace and tell people about it via some bulletin boards.

I am doing stability tests right now. Basically i'm testing my Duron 600@900Mhz by encoding an huge MPEG4 file. During this, i'm reading from a hdd on the ultra 100 controller and writing to a hdd on the udma 66 controller. So far there were no problems.
