In the system properties-Device manager---disk drives -------- My Quantum 20 gig ata-100 hard drive has sync transfer checked. I thought that should be checked only for SCSI drives. Should I uncheck it ?? Or leave it alone ? What does sync transfer do for my drive ??

I have done some testing and my system seems to run best if I leave the settings unchanged...I think the Promise controller acts like a SCSI device someway...?
